ENJOY FALL AT CAMP FARNSWORTH

The Girl Scouts of the Green and White Mountains invites you to enjoy the fall season at their lovely property, Camp Farnsworth. Join them October 24 for a day of fun for the entire family!

The day begins with a FREE Open House from Noon-2 PM. Tour the grounds, visit the camp buildings , and learn all about the different programs for girls and families offered at Camp Farnsworth.

Want more? Stay for the Farnsworth Fall Festival, 2:00-9:00 PM. Through 4:30 PM, enjoy scarecrow making, pumpkin carving, hay rides, and games. Enter the apple pie contest, too.  From 5:00-7:00 PM, families are invited to bring a picnic dinner and enjoy a hike or leisurely stroll around this lovely 300-acre property. Last but not least, Halloween comes early at Camp Farnsworth!  From 7:00-9:00 PM, the “spirit” of the season will come to life along the ˝ mile haunted trail (a special 4:30 walk will be available for those who don’t dare go in the dark). Stop by the graveyard and the haunted junk yard. You might even be visited by Farnsworth’s own “Lady of the Lamp.”  Enjoy evening hay rides and hot chocolate, too. This evening event combines outdoor theatre with the magic of the night forest. It is a “haunted” not a “horror” event and is suitable for all ages. Costumes welcome.

The Open House is FREE. The Farnsworth Fall Festival is $15 per person OR you can come for just the Haunted Trail event for $5 per person. Sign-up today at www.girlscoutsgwm.org. The Girl Scouts of the Green and White Mountains is looking for volunteers for this event. Call Megan Chamberlain at 888/747-9686, x309 with questions or for information on how you can be part of the fun.
