THETFORD HILL FAIR
This year will be the centennial of the Thetford Hill
Village Annual Fair to be held on Saturday, July 30, 2005, 1:00-4:30pm on the
Thetford Hill Common.
The fair will feature kids games set up by the Camp
Farnsworth Girl Scouts, a large rummage sale, plants, books, baked goods,
collectibles/antiques, a Historical Society exhibit and a garden tea.
Among other features for the fair’s 100th year will be
a multi-media art exhibit and sale by local artists at the Latham Memorial
Library gallery.
On the day of the fair, centennial T-shirts and
posters will be sold and local artisans will demonstrate their crafts.
At the antiques booth, professional appraiser Bruce
Bower of the Norwich Antique Shop will make appraisals of antique items (or
pictures of items) brought to him for evaluation ($5.00 per item).
There will be live music entertainment by several
performing groups during the afternoon.
A barbeque supper will follow from 4:30-6:00pm. To
donate collectibles or antique items, call Mel Clouser at 785-2539.
Rain Date: Sunday, July 31.
Please note the following regulation: Dogs must be on a leash at all
times in the State Park. This includes all trails that are in the park.

SUMMER CONCERTS ON THETFORD HILL
The first concert on the Thetford Hill green will be on Thursday, June 30 at 7 p.m. This will feature three quartets; the Top Drawer Four, Four to Go, and the Valley Echoes.
In case of rain this program will be held indoors at the Thetford Hill Congregational Church.
On Thursday July 14 at 7 p.m. Lydia Gray and Ed Eastridge a/k/a “The Brazilian Breezes…Mostly Jobim” will perform. This dynamic pair will wow you with their music.
Our third group of the season will play on Wednesday July 27. Time to be announced.
Please
remember to bring chairs and a blanket. No seating will be provided.

LATHAM LIBRARY
Hopefully by now you are aware that the Latham Library is
closed for renovations from June 22 thru July 19th.
During the Latham Library renovations the Thetford Historical Society is open
its usual hours (Mon and Thurs 2-4 and Tues 10-noon). In
addition, there is an art exhibit on display in the gallery.
The Gallery hours are:

The exhibit concludes Saturday, July 30, the day of the Thetford Hill Fair.

RICE’S MILLS COMMUNITY ASSOCIATION
Rice's Mills Community Association will have its monthly pot luck on Sunday, July 10th at 6PM. Come visit with your neighbors! Bring your own plates and glasses, please.
We are thrilled to announce that The Mascoma Savings Bank
Foundation has awarded the Rice's Mills Community Association a grant of $2500
to be used to replace clapboards and to paint our beloved historic schoolhouse.

TREASURE
Get out your tropical prints and come do the macarena at the
third annual beach party FRIDAY, AUGUST 12 from
12-3PM.
Everyone is invited; including those from surrounding towns, swim lesson participants, etc.
Bring a dish to the 12PM island potluck cookout, and join the fun!
There will be a DJ and dancing, children's games and more.
