Don’t Miss This Opportunity to Make a
Difference in Our Children’s Education!
Friends of Thetford Education will be holding its next
meeting on Monday, January 25 at 7 pm
in the Thetford Elementary School Special Education Conference room. Topics
will be updates on our fundraising efforts, planning for town meeting, and
board member recruitment. All are welcome!
FTE is an organization consisting of parents who are
dedicated to raising funds for the purpose of enhancing the educational
enrichment of our children. Nearly 100% of the money we raise goes toward funding
projects, field trips, special equipment, student performances, and other
educational opportunities that are not covered by the school’s operating
budget. FTE uses a very small amount to cover postage and minor operational
expenses.
Attending a meeting will not commit you to anything! Just
come along and see what we do. If you have questions, feel free to call Marty

The Vermont Agency of Transportation has a new website, Go
Vermont, designed to serve as a one-stop resource for commuters who want to
reduce the cost and environmental impact of driving. The site features RidePro
software, an internet-based commuter ride matching system, and also offers a
Commute Calculator that you can use to figure out how much your commute is
costing you and the environment. There are links to numerous resources and
transportation sites, such as Advanced Transit and Stagecoach bus services,
making it easy to figure out car-free alternatives to getting where you need to
go. Visit Go Vermont at www.connectingcommuters.org
